it seems that the backlight gets turned off. i can use the "increase screen brightness" button on the keyboard to turn the screen back on. similarly via sysfs:
cd /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/ sudo chmod a+w brightness xrandr -s 1 ; grep -H . *brightness ; sleep 3 ; cat max_brightness > brightness ; grep -H . *brightness actual_brightness:0 brightness:0 max_brightness:494 actual_brightness:494 brightness:494 max_brightness:494 with this, the screen is black for the 3 seconds and then is turned back on. takilaci, does that also work for you? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/876641 Title: screen goes blank after changing resolution To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/876641/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
