Public bug reported: Using the 285.05.09-0ubuntu1 NVidia drivers on my Precise install, any change in screen mode using:
* NVidia settings - ie. enabling/disabling a second screen in Twinview; * Starting a movie in VLC Media Player; * Unplugging and/or plugging in a laptop mains lead; will result in the system becoming unresponsive for up to 30 seconds as it changes screen mode. This problem does not occur with the previous NVidia drivers (280.13-0ubuntu6) which is the workaround I am having to implement to avoid this bug at the moment.
