Hello all, There are two bugs here:
1) 1024x576 resolution is not selectable by default in gnome display properties. This is coming from the EDID for the display. Unfortunately there is no way to fix this directly and will have to be worked around, possibly by issuing the commands in comment #4 on boot. 2) Setting the display to 1024x576 results in a black screen. This is the main bug that should be fixed. According to the description, this worked in Natty, so it sounds like this is a regression and once we figure out what component is responsible for the problem we may be able to bisect and fix. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/787587 Title: Cannot change screen resolution on Dell Duo in Natty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/787587/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
