Hi, Just to clarify: The mainline kernel works fine. I can test the latest mainline but it won't be for a day or so.
None of the Ubuntu kernels work since rc2. All patches which I've applied have been to the Ubuntu kernel source (by downloading the linux- source package). I hope this is the right way of doing this. I've tried the patch I mentioned and also those suggested on upstream bug 22980 at comment #7 (although I'm not sure how to apply the third patch as it doesn't seem to be a patch to the kernel source code). All kernels boot correctly if I pass the nomodeset parameter. Thanks, Twig. -- [i845] karmic fails to initialise display on boot. 2.6.31-3 + drm + Intel 845G https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/399821 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is the registrant for xf86-video-intel. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
