Thanks for your bug report. I'll file this against xserver-xorg-input-synaptics for you, as I've seen bugs similar to this filed against that package. This may also be suited to the kernel, but I'll let someone more informed make that determination. I see you've attached a good deal of relevant system information, but just in case something is missing, could you please run the following command in a terminal: apport-collect 894519
