Public bug reported: When an external display is attached using the HDMI port the screen gets mirrored on the internal and the external display. When switching off the "mirror screens" option, the external display blanks out and the internal display gets solid light grey.
When switching to console (Strg-Alt-F1) the console is shown at the internal display only and without any constraints. The console shows something like: drm intel_disable_transcoder failed. Reboot is needed to fix the issue back to mirrored screen. Before the last updates it was possible to disable "mirror screens" and to close the notebook, while the external display automatically turn into the main screen.
