I can still reproduce this issue. It happens every time I boot the PC. The problem does NOT occur with the same monitor and a different PC using 11.10, but that PC has a VGA connector on the motherboard.
The fault occurs on a PC which has a DVI-I connector when driving a monitor with a D-SUB connection. I think the problem is either related to PCs using DVI-I, or only when such PCs connect to analogue monitors - or possibly only when this particular Intel motherboard is used with an analogue monitor. As nobody else has reported this issue I think you should close it, and use your resources elsewhere. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/870813 Title: Failure to detect monitor and set correct resolution To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/870813/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
