Sadly, not always we have enough capacity to triage bugs on timely manner. 
Would you please test if this bug still exist, by running the following command 
through you Terminal(Ctrl+Alt+T) and try to Scroll few times, then press 
'Ctrl+C' to stop it and save the log to your Home directory as 
"xinput-test.txt" and attach it to this report:
xinput --test "AlpsPS/2 ALPS GlidePoint" > ~/xinput-test.txt
