Although the nVidia driver is now loaded successfully I still have two problems when logging in for the first time after a reboot:
- The screen corrupts for a short while (a few seconds). I see a white background with lots of differently colored pixels everywhere. After a few seconds the screen appears normally. - Xorg still claims it cannot correctly apply the configured display setting, see attached screenshot. ** Attachment added: "Xorg complaining about display settings" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/949330/+attachment/2840803/+files/Screenshot%20from%202012-03-09%2017%3A41%3A07.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/949330 Title: nVidia driver won't load anymore To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/949330/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
