Thanks Bryce. Yes I have regularly been having more crashes. After a period of a few days without a crash, a couple of days ago I uninstalled xul-ext-ubufox and almost immediately got a crash but I have no idea if it's related. I re-installed xul-ext-ubufox in case that was it, but I got another crash yesterday.
A while ago I uninstalled sendmail via synaptic. But when I had a crash yesterday afternoon, for a fleeting moment I saw the black screen just before the Ubuntu login screen appeared, and I saw the words sendmail and error. This surprised me so I searched my disk for sendmail and found a lot of files. There's a script called sendmail in etc/cron.daily and another in etc/init.d and also some files with names like K19sendmail in etc/rc0.d and etc/rc1.d and so on. Is it safe to delete all these? Or would that break Ubuntu in any way? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/944626 Title: Xorg segfault - xdiagnose output To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/944626/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
