Public bug reported:
xserver-xorg-video-vmware 11.99.901-0ubuntu1 was built with XA, which
enabled virtualized passthrough of 3D acceleration. In version 12.0.1-1
of the package, XA was not enabled, which resulted in 3D acceleration
being disabled. As a result I could no longer run the regular (Compiz)
version of Unity.
