Hi Matt, thanks for this bug report. It looks like a legitimate gpu lockup. IIRC, 0x018* errors are in 3D rendering code, which lines up with your experiences with rendering errors and compiz crashes.
But since you're not seeing those rendering problems since the updates, I'm going to assume the lockup bug was fixed (maybe by newer kernel?) But please do file a new bug (and reference this one) if it occurs again. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/977249 Title: [gm45] False GPU lockup render.IPEHR: 0x01800002 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/977249/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
