Hi Yuri, Deb packages of the mainline kernels are available at http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/.
Pick the newest 3.4-rc* kernel, install and verify whether or not it makes the issue go away. Report back here with your findings. If it does lockup again with the newer kernel, you need to collect the output of 'dmesg' and your /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_error_state file. Both of these must be collected while the machine is locked up (e.g. by sshing into the sick machine over ethernet). See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Troubleshooting/Freeze for additional info. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/976259 Title: [i965gme] GPU lockup render.IPEHR: 0x0f000000 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/976259/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
