Sam_ - this seems fixed in unity-5.10 - there is no more black on scrolling Not to say you'll like it - the no-blur Dash is lightly tinted based on the average background color I dislike it for the almost opposite reason - too much shows thru here & there is no way to adjust the opacity of the Dash separately like there is for the launcher & panel
