Another thing, I haven't tried this out yet (I'm at school) but I can see this change in the branch:
56 - self->launcher_addrequest_special.emit(desktop_file, AbstractLauncherIcon::Ptr(), aptdaemon_task, icon, 57 - icon_x, icon_y, icon_size); If this line gets removed, it means the icon wouldn't fly anymore, and it won't get pinned either. I can't see it getting re-added.
