You have been subscribed to a public bug: Instead of a mouse, I use a Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet to navigate through Ubuntu. Using it with Unity was fine in 11.10 or below. But Ubuntu 12.04 preferred to keep the launcher visible or an auto-hide with a push-to-reveal feature, but it's not usable with the pen tablet. The tablet can actually recognize the pen about one centimeter outside its edges, but there's no edge pressure with it. I'm not sure, but I think trackpad users may have encountered this issue. Yes, enabling the tablet's Touchpad mode can actually do it, but I'm not willing to lose features from the tablet to Unity. If you need the conventional bug reporting:
1. Ubuntu version: 12.04 2. Package version: Unity 5.0 (from the Precise update) 3. What I expected: Unity Launcher should react to the pen tablet and show itself upon edge pressuring (auto-hide turned on) 4. What happens instead: Nothing. It doesn't show up ** Affects: xf86-input-wacom (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bamboo tablet unity wacom -- Push-to-Reveal Launcher behavior not working with pen tabet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/992006 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xf86-input-wacom in Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
