I spent months convincing my wife (MAC user) and my family (Windows
users) that Ubuntu rules. But when I installed 12.04 and showed that to
them and we all saw how compiz crashed in Unity 3D due to the nvidia
drivers it ruined everything.

Now seriously, as an Ubuntu faithful user this is really disappointing.
I only install LTS releases to avoid this kind of problems . I think the
Ubuntu team should pay more attention to this potential problems.

I solved the problem by downgrading to nvidia drivers 295.33. This is my
nvidia chipset
