You have been subscribed to a public bug: When using a GL-screensaver (from xscreensaver-gl or xscreensaver-gl- extra), the login dialog is not displayed any more over the screen saver.
You can still connect, but you have to blindly type-in your password. This was working fine with Oneiric. I tried switching from fglrx to fglrx-updates, but the problem remains. The login dialog is shown correctly over a 2D screensaver. Thanks.
