I'm getting this same error message every time I start a Dell GX520 that I dual-booted this morning. True dual-boot, not wubi. And a clean install, vs. upgrade. The GX520 came with a Radeon 9250 Pro low-profile card. The error apparently has something to do with the intel gpu. I tried pulling the Radeon and re-booting. Same problem.
Tried resetting video settings in BIOS but that didn't help either. There are two choices in the Dell BIOS. Auto & onboard/PEG. Auto is supposed to detect automagically. Onboard/PEG will try to use onboard unless a discrete card is detected. I switched from Auto to onboard with the Radeon still in place and the monitor went black on next reboot. Pulled the Radeon, plugged into the onboard video, and reset BIOS to Auto. Got the screen back. Logged out of Unity 3D and restarted the Dell. Restarting in 2D; same error. So, I get this error no matter what. Using the Radeon, using onboard intel video, Unity 3D, & 2D. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xdiagnose in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/995525 Title: error "apport-gpu-error-intel.py" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xdiagnose/+bug/995525/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
