You have been subscribed to a public bug: After resuming from suspend, the touchpad is not moving the cursor, but moving up or down anywhere on the touchpad causes vertical scrolling. Upon logging out, the touchpad works normally again.
Normally my touchpad works fine when resuming from suspend. I have a Thinkpad T420. I wasn't sure what package applies here, but I had to pick one...
