I've exactly the same comments than #30. I've tried with kernel 3.4 : uname -a Linux fitis 3.4.0-999-generic #201204260409 SMP Thu Apr 26 08:17:40 UTC 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux. BTW it seems to me that the restore of backlight state fails.
