Public bug reported: I am doing some graphics development in Ubuntu 12.04 and I came across this bug today. I am just drawing a simple open gl program for drawing a quadrilateral. There are no issues when I am running the same program in different machine which uses an ATI radeon graphics card.
I am using Ubuntu 12.04 Using the 2:2.17.0-1ubuntu4 version of the xserver package. My dmesg is showing the following messages everytime the freeze occurs [ 84.384822] [drm:i915_hangcheck_elapsed] *ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed... GPU hung [ 84.384885] [drm] capturing error event; look for more information in /debug/dri/0/i915_error_state [ 84.401191] [drm:i915_wait_request] *ERROR* i915_wait_request returns -11 (awaiting 46582 at 46580, next 46584) ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: freeze gpu intel -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1017348 Title: Intel GPU hung and screen freeze when testing an OpenGL program To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1017348/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
