This apparently is on the 915 and 965 Intel cards. I am still getting this issue. Been lucky that I have been watching just on the laptop but need the external s-vid for playing. Unfortunately I have succumbed to dual booting Windows and Ubuntu 12.04 because it won't work under Fedora, Mint 13, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, or Lubuntu either.
