You have been subscribed to a public bug: My system (Ubuntu 12.04) froze today for the second time within a week. There is not much information I can provide.
Szenario is that after a hibernate (overnight) the system came up as expected and I logged in. I was able to start to work but after a minute the system froze. No mouse cursor, no keyboard input. Turned the machine off and on again, everything is back to normal. This has happened about 5 days ago for the first time. System is a Acer aspire on 277, AMD-C60 dual core, upgraded to 8GB ram. Hdd is fully encrypted, except /boot. No swap space. Last time I ran the updates was last week, before the first freeze. If you need additional informations please don't hesitate to ask.
