Public bug reported: with my new hp envy 6 sleekpad, I am having trouble with the cliqpad which makes typing nearly impossible. It seems to do with palm detection not working (works fine with windows 7, I am running dual-boot wubi). i've tried changing palm detection settings using "xinput set-int-prop" command to various settings with no change in behavior.
my settings are as follows: Synaptics Palm Detection (268): 1 Synaptics Palm Dimensions (269): 4, 100 this computer is relatively new to the market so maybe there is a hardware issue that needs to be addressed? from the synaptics MAN page I see that palm detection requires hardware support. Also, the upper left corner touchpad on/off button does not work under ubuntu (12.04), and the LED doesn't work, but I have seen that bug reported elsewhere for other hp envy models. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: clickpad envy sleekpad -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1036912 Title: clickpad hp envy sleekbook To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/1036912/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
