On program start the display tears into narrow (~5 pixel?) strips that divide every inch (~100 pixel?) or so. Some flash - some are static. The system is locked - [ctrl]c or [ctrl][alt]Fx or [ctrl][alt][del] cause no response - power button to recover. nVidia GeForce2 MX/MX 400 Metacity window manager (no effects) Xorg NV driver david@CompaqSR1265:~$ apt-cache policy frozen-bubble frozen-bubble: Installed: 2.2.0-1ubuntu1 Candidate: 2.2.0-1ubuntu1 Version table: *** 2.2.0-1ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status david@CompaqSR1265:~$ ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Mon Nov 23 14:06:13 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release i386 (20091028.5) Package: frozen-bubble 2.2.0-1ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-15.50-generic SourcePackage: frozen-bubble Uname: Linux 2.6.31-15-generic i686 XsessionErrors: (gnome-settings-daemon:1579): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_propagate_error: assertion `src != NULL' failed (nautilus:1637): Eel-CRITICAL **: eel_preferences_get_boolean: assertion `preferences_is_initialized ()' failed (polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1:1661): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initialization_value != 0' failed (nautilus:1863): Eel-CRITICAL **: eel_preferences_get_boolean: assertion `preferences_is_initialized ()' failed (nautilus:1900): Eel-CRITICAL **: eel_preferences_get_boolean: assertion `preferences_is_initialized ()' failed ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- frozen-bubble trashes display at start - system locks up https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/487259 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-nouveau in Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
