Timo, Thank you for your help and support. As you can see from the Launchpad page, I have re-installed Precise and cured the problem. Unfortunately the directions you sent (below) don't mean much to me: Does 'run' mean type apport-collect 1050580 into Terminal? Best regards, Ashley
