Bryce, It is reproducible and happens every time I sleep/resume. It's similar to another bug I encountered a while ago in Oneiric and for a while in Natty Beta 1 where the background would disappear on sleep/resume but, if I left-clicked anywhere on the Dekstop, the image would reappear. That's not the case with this manifestation; the background disappears until I re-select it from Appearance.
