Firstly, sorry for the vagueness of the comment I am about to make. While looking through kernel and freedesktop radeon bugs a while ago I came accross a screenshot that matches the description in this bug. I can't remember the exact hardware the reporter was using, but the problem had been fixed with a patch. Unfortunately I can't remember which kernel version had the fix, but it was before the currently-under- development 3.6, so I suggest trying Ubuntu 12.10 "Qantal Quetzal" beta 2 which is based on the upstream 3.5 kernel.
Please let us know whether the problem occurs or not on Ubuntu 12.10 "Qantal Quetzal" beta 2. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/692755 Title: Corrupt graphics on resume from S4 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xserver-xorg-driver-ati/+bug/692755/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
