I was able to figure out a little more about it. When I said it wasn't working before, basically it wouldn't show anything but a blank desktop after you logged in. The right click menu still worked, as well as the settings and stuff from there.
I was finally able to get it back by removing the catalyst drivers following the instructions here: http://ubuntutechnical.wordpress.com/2011/11/20/install-ati-official-drivers-in-ubuntu/ Then reinstalling the fglrx by running sudo apt-get fglrx -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1067525 Title: fglrx 2:9.000-0ubuntu1: fglrx kernel module failed to build To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/1067525/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
