Public bug reported: This bug was originally reported upstream as https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22946
The upstream report was made running mesa, libdrm, xserver and -intel from git. Now that mesa 7.6-devel arrived in Karmic, the same crash happens in a pure Karmic installation (same system, different lvm LV). Reproducing steps: Run googleearth, zoom in (lower altitude) and move around a bit. Then close googleearth and see X crash. NB: the stacktrace in the upstream report is slightly different then the one in Xorg.log.old, because for the upstream report I built mesa without optimization.
