Public bug reported:

My ThinkPad T43 works quite well with Ubuntu 12.04, but with a clean
install of 12.10, Unity is slow (I can type in the Unity Dash Home and
then count the seconds as my letters slowly appear in sequence),
sometimes freezes (when I close an application, the icon becomes faded
in the Dash but doesn't disappear, and the application window just stays
on the screen but I can't interact with it), and text develops little
lines through it after suspend and resume (this was also present in
12.04 and can be fixed with a modification to the xorg.conf... something
about debug-wait... but it would be nice if I didn't have to make that
change on the whole batch of T43's I'm going to sell).

Help appreciated :-)
