Additional info: It is enough to execute xrandr --output LVDS1 --off xrandr --output VGA1 --auto to reproduce the problem. In my case the latter forces a resolution adjustment that I think has something to do with the problem.
The problem also show when combining the above into selections in lxrandr. It is also intermittent. On rare occasions it actually work as supposed. I haven't figured out what makes a difference. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to x11-xserver-utils in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1082621 Title: Desktop icons dissapear after executing xrandr To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/x11-xserver-utils/+bug/1082621/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
