This bug may affect me as well. I'm running 12.10 on an asus 1215t laptop. AMD based.
The specific behavior in common is that using a single finger will sometimes cause the page to scroll as if I had used two fingers. I was on 11.04 previously and did not have this issue. Although I didnt use multi touch then either. I'm still trying to narrows the causes. There may be a relationship to resuming from sleep with the behavior. I do not have any issues resuming from sleep. I plan to run: sudo evtest /dev/input/eventX > ~/evtest the next time it misbehaves but wanted to lend another voice here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1087794 Title: Synaptics touchpad registers single finger touches as multitouch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/1087794/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
