I have the same problem in most programmes although it seems intermittent. Occurs particularly in Libre Office, Thuderbird and Firefox. I use an Acer travelmate 2420 with touchpad. Ubuntu 12.10 with KDE desktop (although it also occurred with Unity before I switched to KDE). Would very much appreciate a fix.
