Public bug reported:

When trying to rotate a monitor (either my main or my external one) with
Sandy Bridge activated, it crash and log me out from my session.

Works fine when I disable Sandy Bridge option in Xorg.conf.

Reproduced on last 3.5 kernel in available in 12.10 repos and on
3.8.0-030800rc2-generic.

Reproduced while using the display manager or running

xrandr --output HDMI2 --mode 1920x1080 --pos 0x0 --rotate left --output
LVDS1 --mode 1366x768 --pos 1080x0 --rotate normal --output DP2 --off
--output DP1 --off --output VGA1 --off;

EDIT:

Forgot to add that I can reproduce this in both Unity and Openbox env.
