I finally found a solution/workaround (I can't believe it)!!! A thread on the nvnews forums discussed a similar problem. One comment suggested setting the option NoExtendedGpuCapabilitiesCheck in xorg.conf to disable mode validation (http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=2039336&postcount=11).
I can now use both monitors at full/native resolution :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/727112 Title: nvidia-current does not detect hardware capabilities correctly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/727112/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
