Step 1 - This procedure should "reset" your graphics configuration: http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu_Quantal_Installation_Guide#Removing_Catalyst.2Ffglrx Step 2 - Reboot, and you should be back to the default open-source radeon driver. Step 3 - run 'sudo apt-get install fglrx' and post the output. If the output mentions a make log, post/attach the log as well.
