Don't trust it, those measurements are not necessarily accurate, and the dpi calculations in X are approximations, so they're overridden in gnome to 96x96.
See http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/devel/2011-October/157671.html There used to be a way to adjust the dpi in gnome2 using the font settings dialog iirc, but I'm not sure in gnome3 where to find it. Probably you need a dconf setting. ** Changed in: x11-utils (Ubuntu) Status: New => Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to x11-utils in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1164380 Title: incorrect resolution detected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/x11-utils/+bug/1164380/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
