Problem occurs only with the mainline kernel which I had installed due to bug 1162732 (computer does not wake up from suspend).
With Raring's current standard kernel I can get into the desired mirror mode via (also awkward): xrandr --addmode HDMI1 1366x768 xrandr --output HDMI1 --mode 1366x768 xrandr --output HDMI1 --mode 1366x768 --same-as LVDS1 Output of "uname -a" with the official kernel: Linux till-twist 3.8.0-17-generic #27-Ubuntu SMP Sun Apr 7 19:39:35 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1167231 Title: Xorg crashed with SIGABRT in OsAbort() - Cannot mirror screen in good resolution To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1167231/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
