Sorry for the incorrect information - I've installed 13.04 fresh and did *not* do an upgrade as stated. Therefore, no fglrx was installed. I did perform the steps presented in the wiki to switch from fglrx to the radeon driver anyways and several times like so:
sudo apt-get remove --purge xorg-driver-fglrx fglrx* sudo apt-get install --reinstall libgl1-mesa-glx libgl1-mesa-dri sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg sudo apt-get install --reinstall xserver-xorg-core -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1174042 Title: System crashes with open-source radeon driver To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/1174042/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
