I'd happily try the mainline 3.9 kernel and report, but due to a bad
decision while partitioning I only have room for one kernel on my boot
partition, and that is not likely to change any time soon.

Do you know if there are more reports on the issue, or am I really the
only one using an X230 (or more likely any Ivy Bridge based machine)
with 13.04?
