Public bug reported: Hello,
SNA acceleration doesn't work for my systems HD4000 on an i5-3570K anymore. UXA is ok. Fail-Message from dmesg: [ 17.395515] [drm:i915_hangcheck_hung] *ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed... GPU hung [ 17.395544] [drm] capturing error event; look for more information in /debug/dri/0/i915_error_state ... screen goes black then. System is running Linux Mint 14 Nadia with xorg-edgers ppa. SNA worked pretty stable until two weeks ago. I'm quite sure this change introduced the error: http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/package/xorg-edgers/quantal/main/base /xserver-xorg-video-intel Version: 2:2.21.6+git20130502.5637c173-0ubuntu0sarvatt~quantal 2013-05-02 19:09:00 UTC xserver-xorg-video-intel (2:2.21.6+git20130502.5637c173-0ubuntu0sarvatt~quantal) quantal; urgency=critical . * Checkout from git 20130502 (master branch) up to commit 5637c173f85a5bb9a77572e4c070e0d612e6f49d * Only added debian/ tree from origin/ubuntu * hook: Refresh 0002-Update-manpage-for-new-accelmethod-option.patch * hook: Drop sna-flush-scanout-cache-after-resizing.patch (upstream) ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "dmesg output" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1178263/+attachment/3671074/+files/dmesg.out -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1178263 Title: SNA acceleration broken on IvyBride - error GPU hung To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1178263/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
