Im using Ubuntu 13.04 on a Lenovo X220
This happens often.
It happened to me today to me when I had multiple Chrome tabs open, one
of them being Facebook, and I got a notification from FB with a ping
sound.
Google Chrome 27.0.1453.93 (Official Build 200836)
Cut and pasting from /var/logs/* into Google search led me to:

Which, unfortunately, I don't understand enough to want to try this - in
fear of "voiding the warranty".
