> I'd suggest marking this report 'Invalid' This is not a solution. If you google around you'll find many users complaining. Here are a few links from search top: http://askubuntu.com/questions/162639/how-do-i-get-ubuntu-to-recognize-my-nvidia-graphics-card https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/221834 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2090001 http://www.kubuntuforums.net/archive/index.php/t-61216.html
And there is much more users that complain on non-English sites. It's not user friendly to make dialog like: - Install latest drivers - Now I have a black screen on boot - Run xconfig, modify line no 666 in x.org.conf, copy all the libGL.so from Nvidia/X to X ... - ??? Solution would be to make drivers work out of the box. I know that it's not easy, but please do that. If you need hardware for tests I can help you and test all the changes on my notebook or even give a direct access to it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1193795 Title: Driver for Geforce gt 650m is not detected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/1193795/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
