I think I've seen this behavior in the past, but I've tested it with the
new fglrx 8.66 and it appears the behavior is changed to make it launch
Catalyst Control Center rather than the gnome-display-properties dialog.
Not sure if it is fglrx or gnome that solved it, but the usability seems
to be working properly with this version of the driver.
