** Description changed:

$ubuntu-bug xrandr -> package xrandr does not exist

  hmm..

  when I do this:

  xrandr --output LVDS1 --scale 0.8x0.8

the screen is shown 'zoomed in' initially but when the mouse hits the side of
the screen (and I expect it to pan),
the screen zooms out again (probably to 'scale 1)

+ Just discovered one more thing: if the mouse arrow is placed near the
+ top or left side of the screen when trying to zoom, the screen is shown
+ zoomed initially, and the scale factor goes back to 1 when the arrow
+ hits an edge. But if the arrow is near the bottom or right edge of the
+ screen when trying to zoom, the scale factor stays one when trying to
+ zoom. (thoug the screen is shown garbled near the edge then)
+
The output of xrandr before and after this is the same.
