Public bug reported:

Running 13.04 raring with latest updates, but this kind of GPU freeze
has occurred numerous times in the past year.

It always occurs when the system is under high CPU and I/O load, e.g.
after resuming from sleep. Memory is not a factor, as there are
gigabytes of free memory.

The most reliable way to trigger this crash is to rapidly switch between
workspaces, while the system is heavily loaded.

i915_error_state from immediately following the crash is attached.
