And now the fix: sudo gedit /etc/default/grub
Find the line with: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="splash quiet" and modify it to look like this: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="splash quiet acpi_osi='!Windows 2012'" Save and close editor. Then: sudo update-grub and restart. Wi-Fi Fn key should work by switching ON/OFF Airplane Mode PS: I haven't tested this, but if in earlier versions of Ubuntu you had problems with Fn keys not working and some other fix did the job for you, that fix may be the match for this case. ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Committed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1245371 Title: D Fn Wi-Ubuntu Gnome 13.10 Asus K55VFi key not working by default To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1245371/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
