Public bug reported:

On my new HP Spectre 13 x2 laptop/tablet, the base's touchpad is not
recognized by Ubuntu's "Touchpad configuration" as a touchpad.
synclient also does not recognize it as a touchpad, though xinput shows
it as a "SynapticsTouch Pad V 1.03U2". It does work as a simple mouse
with no scroll and only tap for left click (and two hardware buttons at
the bottom).
